The ARGO array has now reached 2/3 of its nominal extent, giving acces to global synthetic views. We have initiated a study of the heat and salt budget.
Preliminary evaluations of the time evolution of the heat and salt content
are underway. Two methods are implemented: the eulerian calculation, based on analyzed fields, and the lagrangian method where computations are performed along a profiler trajectory. These in-situ observations will be compared with the surface fluxes.
